01 — Standard Cancellations

Standard Rate Cancellations

Hotel Glendower's standard cancellation policy applies to bookings made at flexible or standard rates. We ask that guests notify us of any cancellation within the timeframes outlined below to avoid forfeiture of deposits or charges.

More than 7 days No charge — full deposit refund
3 to 7 days 50% of first night's room rate
24 to 72 hours 100% of first night's room rate
Less than 24 hours or no-show 100% of total stay (full booking value)

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to reservations@hotelglendower.com and acknowledged by the hotel to be considered valid.

02 — Non-Refundable & Prepaid Rates

Non-Refundable Bookings

Bookings made under promotional, early-bird, or non-refundable rate plans are charged in full at the time of booking. These rates offer savings in exchange for forfeiting flexibility.

Non-refundable reservations cannot be refunded, amended, or transferred once confirmed, regardless of the reason for cancellation, including illness or travel disruption. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance.

If you are uncertain whether your booking qualifies as non-refundable, please contact our reservations team prior to confirming.

03 — Amendments

Changing Your Reservation

We are happy to assist with amendments to your reservation subject to availability. Date changes, room upgrades, and extensions of stay may be accommodated at the prevailing rate for the new booking period.

  • Amendments requested more than 7 days in advance are generally accommodated without penalty
  • Shortening a stay within 72 hours of arrival may be treated as a partial cancellation
  • Room type changes are subject to availability and rate differences
  • Name changes on individual reservations are permitted upon request
04 — Special Circumstances

Force Majeure & Extenuating Circumstances

In the event of extraordinary and unforeseeable circumstances — including severe weather, natural disasters, government travel advisories, or public health emergencies — Hotel Glendower will assess cancellation requests on a case-by-case basis and exercise reasonable discretion in applying its standard policy.

Documentary evidence may be required. We encourage guests to obtain appropriate travel insurance that covers cancellation due to unforeseen events.

05 — Refunds

Refund Processing

Where a refund is applicable, it will be processed to the original payment method within 7–14 business days of the cancellation being confirmed by the hotel. Bank transfer timings may vary. Hotel Glendower is not responsible for delays caused by financial institutions.

  • Credit card refunds: 7–14 business days
  • Bank transfer refunds: 5–10 business days
  • Refunds are issued in the original currency of payment
  • Exchange rate differences are not compensable
